The fluidised reactor hangs on the side of your tank or sump and can be used for a number of applications such as aquarium phosphate removal, carbon filtration, nitrate removing resins, denitrification or even a small fluidised sand bed for low volume aquariums.
Set Up Instructions
1. Assemble hoses to lid, placing valve to central inlet (allowing adjustment of water flow before entering chamber).
2. Undo all six sealing ‘butterfly’ screws and gently remove the lid.
3. Hold central tube in place.
4.Slide off the top sponge and fill with desired media. Do not allow any media to enter central tube.
7. Slide the final sponge onto the column and replace lid.
8.Check that all six screws are properly secured. Do not over tighten as this may cause the acrylic joints to crack.
9. Mounting bracket are provided for installation on the side of aquarium or sump.
10. Connect central hose to supply pump (recommended pump size 700-900l/hr), putting the valve in the off position.
11. Open valve slowly to the fluid media begins to ‘simmer’or ripple, and should not be lifted to the point of touching the middle disc.
