The new filter media used in the Aquis Advance is of the highest quality, offering more surface area for bacteria to colonize than ever before and delivering astonishing filtration capabilities.

The internal media arrangement and design of the pump head ensures even distribution of the water flow throughout the filter media, maximising the filter volume and ensuring that the large amount of effective filter media present is used as efficiently as possible.

• Aquarium water enters via the inlet located on the top of the filter where the water is distributed across the top of the canister before travelling down through the various layers of advanced filter media .

• The BioNood Advance noodles allow bacteria to cultivate on and within them. They also channel the water in all different directions, ensuring that all of the filter media is used.

• The CeramiSub Advance is a highly porous filter media consisting of sintered glass which allows bacteria to cultivate deep within the substrate. This provides excellent surface area ensuring large cultures of beneficial bacteria which results in a more efficient filter. This process reduces toxins like Ammonia within the aquarium quickly.

• The Blue 15ppi filter sponges trap the large dirt particles.

• The Black 35ppi sponges trap finer particles.

• The white layer of wool polishes the water as it returns to the aquarium via the UV-Sterilizer, where it is exposed to the Ultraviolet radiation.

• The UV-Sterilizer helps to keep your fish healthy. The Sterilizer uses a quartz sleeve that maintains the PL lamps temperature, thus allowing up to 95% of the UV radiation to sterilize the water. This increased intensity exposes virtually all organic, single celled algae and eradicates most harmful micro-organisms.

• This ensures that bacteria, disease germs and free swimming algae are destroyed by the radiation, guaranteeing your aquarium water is clear and as healthy as can be.
